Requirement
Motor Pool requires an emergency contact(s) for each rented activity bus. This person is not the driver.
Emergency Contact Role
Emergency contacts are in charge of the occupants on the activity bus. This person is required to physically stay on the bus at all times. Emergency contacts can be the Professor, Program Director, paid NC State staff/employee, or paid NC State student worker.
Transporting Minors
When transporting minors, there needs to be at least one emergency contact regardless of the total number of minors.
Depending on the age of the minors and the number in the vehicle there may need to be additional emergency contacts. The American Camp Association supervision ratio is used to determine the correct number.
