CORRAL collaborates with local, referral community partners who identify at-risk girls whom they pair with rescued horses in a 12-week Join the Herd program. Ideally this matriculates into their long-term program, the Riding Academy, where they see real life change. The Riding Academy incorporates academic support, individualized equine-assisted psychotherapy, family counseling, mentorship, and college and career preparation.
On March 22, 2023, EPSI volunteered at their Raleigh location to assist with packing supplies and clean-up for their upcoming move to a new location! We also had the opportunity to interact with the therapy horses and learn how they connect with the girls in the program.
