Food Bank of NC & Sweet Potatoes

IRM, along with staff from EH&S, Transportation, and Campus Police volunteered at the Food Bank’s main distribution center in December 2022.  The group sorted and packed sweet potatoes that totaled 5,888 meals for local families facing hunger.

 

Hunger remains a problem in central and eastern North Carolina.  The Food Bank service area includes 34 counties in North Carolina and serves 508,430 people that live in food-insecure households, including 164,510 children.
