Drone Insurance Request

NC State Departments and Units must obtain Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) insurance to cover their proposed UAS/drone activities.

The cost for liability coverage is $50 per year per unit. Physical damage coverage requires a quote from the insurance carrier. Insurance & Risk Management (IRM) will contact the requestor with the quote prior to binding of coverage.

Departments and Units should contact IRM with any questions regarding coverage or operation of UAS on campus.
